Development Background

If there are coupling and filtering requirements for both low-frequency and high-frequency electrical signals in electronic circuits, the usual approach is to parallel tantalum capacitors and ceramic capacitors on the PCB board. However, when multiple capacitors are connected in parallel, a certain space needs to be left between them, which invisibly increases the space occupied by capacitors on the PCB board and is not conducive to the development trend of miniaturization and lightweighting in the electronics industry.

The Zhenhua New Cloud TAC45/TAC55 broadband multi-core hybrid dielectric capacitor product adopts an array substrate as the lead out structure of the capacitor, greatly improving the volumetric efficiency of the product. Using the packaging size of tantalum capacitors and adopting a new structural design, the integrated packaging of tantalum capacitors and ceramic capacitors is achieved, significantly reducing the space occupied by capacitors on circuit boards.

Product advantages

The broadband filtering effect is significant: the filtering effect is better than tantalum capacitors at low frequencies, and the filtering effect is similar to ceramic capacitors at high frequencies.

High volume utilization rate: Integrating tantalum capacitors and several ceramic capacitors into one package significantly improves product volume utilization rate. Taking the 28V circuit as an example, using E-shell sized wideband multi-core hybrid dielectric capacitors instead of traditional solutions can save about 20% to 30% of circuit board area.

Low cost: The price of broadband multi-core mixed dielectric capacitors is close to that of tantalum capacitors, which can save the purchase cost of ceramic capacitors. The integrated packaging of multiple capacitors reduces the number of circuit board pads and lowers the processing and management costs incurred during use.

High reliability: The welding of ceramic capacitors is completed at the factory, avoiding possible failures during the welding process for users. Using plastic encapsulation material to integrate tantalum capacitors and several ceramic capacitors, reducing the risk of physical failure of ceramic capacitors due to abnormal mechanical stress.

Low ESR and ESL: Multiple capacitors share the same circuit board to reduce parasitic parameters on the circuit board.
